Mr. Oboh Lawrence Stephen is the Founder of The
Unarmed Youth (TUY).
He is the Executive Director of the Organization.
Mr. Lawrence was born on August 8th 1976, in Oro, Kwara State,
Nigeria, to Retired Sgt.& Mrs. Vicent Oboh, of the Nigerian Army.
He is the third child and the first son in a family of seven.
He is happily married to Mrs. Helen Hembadoon Oboh.
He grew up in 82 Division Nigerian Army Barracks, Enugu State,
where he attended Army Children's School, Abakpa Barracks,
Enugu State. He later proceeded to Army Command Secondary School,
Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, Nigeria, and there he got his
Senior School Ceritficate, with Credit in Six subjects.
Mr. Lawrence is a graduate of the Ambrose Alli University,
Ekpoma, Edo State, Nigeria. He holds a Bachelor of
Science Degree, B.Sc.(Hons.) Business Administration.
He also has a Certificate Diploma in Computer Data Processing.
He is currently studying for his Masters in Business Administration,(MBA) at the Bayero University Kano.
Mr. Lawrence worked with Bendel Feed and Flour Mill Ltd.,
from August 1999 to January 2000, as a Sales Trainee.
He did his National Youth Services Corp (NYSC) in Benue State,
where he was made the Head of Department of Social Sciences,
in Apa Demonstration College Ugbokpo, Apa L.G.A., Benue State.
He worked as a Contract Staff to
Contact Marketing Services Ltd., Ajao Estate, Lagos State,
as a Marketing Coordinator, and also with Purplewood Limited,Victoria Island, as a Clients' Service Officer. He also worked with PZ Cussons Nig. Plc, (HPZ Limited-TEC Appliance SBU) for Five years and 3 months, where he resigned as a Key Accounts Manager.
Mr. Lawrence is the Initiator of the Nigerian
Federation Of Catholic Students (NFCS), Ihumudumu
Chapter, Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State,
Nigeria. He was the Vice President Of the Catholic Youth Organization of Nigeria (CYON),
St. Julius Catholic Church, Agbado Station, Ogun State. He is a Contributing Member to Managers Leisure,
a student organization in the University of Abuja, Abuja, Nigeria.

Mr. Lawrence enjoys reading, (detective novels and
motivational books), watching television, listening to
music (music of the 80’s), and dancing.
